30HBC1909: onism

onism /o•nis•uh•m/ --noun;

the frustration of being stuck in just one body, that inhabits only one place at a time, which is like standing in front of the departures screen at an airport, flickering over with strange place names like other people’s passwords, each representing one more thing you’ll never get to see before you die—and all because, as the arrow on the map helpfully points out, you are here.

the average of human's age is around 60s to 70s. their prime time, in which said human already considered an adult and have their own means to provide for themselves, are around 20 to 30 years.

during said time, how many did you spend on rooting your feet to the place you called home? and how many did you spread your wings and learn about the world?

there are hundreds of places out there, with their own unique landscape and people. with their own culture and way to live. how many did you learn? how many did you understand?

leave. travel. learn. because you only live once, and time is the only thing you can't get back once you lost it.

(because once you're in love with places you've never been to and people you've never met, that's it. the peak of unrequited love. you long to see them, but you know your time is limited. so you settle for a heartbreak and "what ifs")
